“Learning together, Achieving together”

Year 6

For our creative homework, Year 6 were set the challenge to create something based on 'Rainforests'. Eve designed and made this wonderful two tier cake - it tasted amazing too!

Some of Y6 went to QEHS earlier in the week as part of a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) event. They took part in a range of exciting and engaging activities where they put their STEM knowledge to good use!

World Book Day 2022: Year 6 came to school dressed as a wide variety of book characters and wowed us with their creativity.

Our creative homework for half term was to design something linked to WW2...using a craft matchbox! Year 6 have been so creative with their ideas as you can see.

Year 6 have painted stones to hide in the sensory garden for people to find.

Year 6 have continued to enjoy our English text - Letters from the Lighthouse. We have been writing in role as the characters in the story and have produced some really thoughtful diary entries and postcards home.

We have launched our new History topic - World War 2. As you can see from our class display, we have a lot of questions we would like to learn the answers to. In English we are reading 'Letters from the Lighthouse' which is also helping us to develop our understanding of what life was like during the second World War.

Our MPS (Misterton Playground Squad) do a fabulous job supporting the school to have good lunchtimes. These children give up their lunchtimes to organise and lead games. Here are some of our current MPS.
