Year 5
Year 5 have had a great day celebrating World Book Day. They have been very creative with their characters, putting them in ‘Twisted Tales’ scenarios, making them ‘Wanted’ characters and sharing why they chose to be that character today.
Year 5 had a great day at the Perlethorpe Education Centre learning about the Victorians, especially what life was like in a Victorian School. We all agreed, we much prefer the schooling of today. The teachers were very strict, you had to sit up straight all the time, you had to write with your right hand and ‘children were seen and not heard’. The punishments were also very harsh.
In Science, Year 5 are currently learning about pollination.
We have enjoyed playing chess this week and developing our skills with this game.
Year 5 have been busy creating human figures using foil to help us learn about sculptures.
