Misterton Primary and Nursery School
“Learning together, Achieving together”
At Misterton Primary School we use the National Curriculum as a basis for teaching history. We have carefully designed our History curriculum so that children gain this knowledge as they progress through the school and develop characteristics of historians. We understand that learning about History is vital to a rich and broad primary education. We aim for our history learning to be enjoyable, to help pupils make sense of the present as well as the past, and to appreciate the complexity and diversity of human societies and development.
Our pupils study history of Britain and the wider world. We aim to inspire and broaden the children's horizons, challenging preconceived ideas and develop life skills to prepare them for life beyond school and to inspire future historians.
